Unit serves as a portable acoustic testing laboratory that can be transported from site to site to perform hearing tests on patients (workers) around the country.

This fifth wheel trailer was specially modified to serve the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Hazards (NIOSH) at the Pittsburg Research Laboratory as a mobile audiometric laboratory.
